Ed Gilliss Receives 2021 Law Day Award

TOWSON, MD – Ed Gilliss of Royston, Mueller, McLean & Reid was named the recipient of the 2021 Baltimore County Bar Association Law Day Award.

“I can think of no one more deserving of the 2021 Law Day Award than Gilliss,” said Rebecca Flemming, who presented the award virtually during the BCBA’s Law Day Ceremony on Monday, May 3.

The Law Day Award is presented annually to a BCBA member who has had an impact on the status or administration of the law, participated in bar-related activities over the course of several years, and who has demonstrated service to the BCBA over the course of several years.

“Gilliss has remained always committed to the BCBA, always present, always involved, and always helpful. We have been lucky to benefit from his time and talent,” said Flemming. Gilliss served as president of the BCBA from 2011-2012  and remains a very active member of the BCBA.

“I am honored to accept this year’s BCBA Law Day Award,” said Gilliss. “I am so, so honored to join the list of past winners. I have been blessed in many ways during my more than 40 years of practicing law, many, many of those blessings revolving around Baltimore County.”

Since its inception in 1983, the Law Day Award has honored some of the most accomplished members of the BCBA.
