Colin J. Handzo is an Associate who represents businesses and individuals on a wide range of matters, including tax planning and litigation, IRS controversy, entity formation, real estate transactions, commercial financing, and business planning.  Prior to joining Royston, Mueller, McLean, and Reid, LLP, Colin practiced law at one of Washington D.C.’s preeminent tax law firms.  He has served as a member of the team representing a taxpayer in a multi-billion dollar transfer pricing case before the U.S. Tax Court, where he developed briefs and expert reports as well as prepared fact and expert witnesses for their testimony. He also has experience working with clients on the resolution of IRS examinations and compliance programs as well as securing private letter rulings including in areas such as income tax accounting, trust and estates, entity formation, and nonprofits and charitable organizations.
